Abstract: Some form of AGN heating seems to be required to explain the temperature of the ICM in cool core clusters of galaxies.  I present a multi-wavelength (HST, VLA, ALMA, Spitzer, Herschel, Chandra) study of star formation and AGN activity in brightest cluster galaxies. I show that the BCG radio sources are able to couple to all phases of the ICM (hot, warm, and cold) and likely provide sufficient heating to replace most (but not all) of the energy lost by radiation in the ICM.

Looking forward to seeing you all there. For past and future talks, please see http://www.ira.inaf.it/Activities/seminari/IRA_colloquia/home.html
